Digital
Image NZ Ltd
This
company started off in December 1996 as a destop publishing company under
the name of LJW Consultants, run by Linda Weichselbaum.
It
turned into Digital Image NZ Ltd in July 1999, with high-quality film
scanning as its core business.
With
the rise of digital media, the emphasis slowly shiftet from film scanning
to digital editing and consulting services for professional photographers.
Currently
we provide a large range of services from scanning (film and art work) to
fine art printing, consultancy services on colour management and training.
Our
clients come from a wide range of industries: professional and amateur
photographers, artists, publishing companies, printers, museums and
training providers.
We
do provide photographic services, however, most photography assignments
are contracted out. Art work larger than ca 1m is reproduced with high
resolution digital backs - also a service we contract out to a
professional photographer.
Hans
currently writes regular articles for three New Zealand journals. We have
held training seminars on Photoshop and general digital imaging in all
major centres in New Zealand.
Our
equipment includes dedicated film scanners (Nikon and Imacon), flatbed
scanners (Epson and Canon) and printers (Epson inkjet).
Our latest
acquisition is the new Epson Stylus Pro 7900 with built-in
spectrophotometer for instant profiling. It has a 10-colour inkset
(pigment ink) using the latest UltraChrome HDR inks.
Apart
from having a very wide colour gamut, these inks guarantee
a lifetime of your prints of up to 75 years for colour and 200 years for
black-and white images. The inks also show excellent water resistance.
